Internal Technical Sales Executive
Location – Moreton, Merseyside
Job Purpose:
To respond to enquiries from existing and prospective customers, ensuring that all Accepta branded documentation issued to them is of uniformly high quality, professional looking, coherent and free of spelling and grammatical mistakes.
The job requires excellent telephone skills in dealing with clients and colleagues.
Areas of responsibility:Ā
- To generate letters, quotations and other correspondence in response to sales enquiries arising from telephone calls and the company website
- To ensure all sales opportunities are fully explored and fulfilled
- To provide technical advice and recommendations to our customers and prospects
- To service and support the existing customer base in line with company policies ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
- To actively seek and develop opportunities for the sales of additional goods and services within the client base
- To produce timely and accurate statistics and reports relating to sales
- To ensure the relevant information systems are maintained including a computerised customer and prospect database
- To liaise with suppliers with regards to product/technical information, delivery dates/quotations
- To liaise with key Feedwater personnel (Technical/Production) with regards to product/technical information, delivery dates/quotations
- The achievement of appropriate and agreed sales targets through prospecting, identifying client needs, preparation of written proposals, negotiating, closing and any necessary follow up including all relevant paperwork.
- To produce quotations using the Quotation template and Quotation Log as requested in-line with the Chemical Pricing Spreadsheet
- To produce Pro Forma invoices as requested
- To check the status of customer accounts and proceed as necessary (PFI/Credit)
- To maintain the orders mailbox and review/process the purchase orders made to said inbox
- To review the accounts emails to ensure that any sales enquiries are dealt with
North of England, Midlands, London & South East Regional Sales Consultants / Service Chemists
We are looking to strengthen our teams so we have immediate water treatment job vacancies in Northern England, the Midlands and London and the South East.
The Northern team covers the Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Humberside, Durham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle.
The key locations in the Midlands are Birmingham, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire. We would also consider appointing a āhunterā in East Anglia.
The London and South East England team cover the M25, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Suffolk.
The successful candidates will be based in the area and be part of a regional team with responsibility for both gaining new water treatment customers and servicing and account managing existing clients.
The new business generation aspect will require you to identify prospects and to develop and execute effective strategies for approaching, winning and developing business from them. You will be assisted in this function by our powerful website and the help of our telemarketing company.
The service and account management aspect of the role will involve on-site analysis of water samples, interpretation and reporting of results, advising corrective actions and improvements, compliance review, stock management and ensuring that all contractual obligations are performed to the highest standards.
Ideally, the successful candidates will have experience in water treatment sales and service; however, we will consider people with an appropriate engineering, laboratory or technical sales background. Full technical and sales training will be provided and there is scope to develop skills and knowledge, leading to promotion within the Company.

Graduate Trainee Opportunities ā Service Chemists leading to Water Treatment Sales
Our continual growth means that have opportunities for graduate trainees who are interested in a service and sales career in Water Treatment. Initially, the role would be as a trainee service chemist carrying out on site testing one of our regions, learning the ropes from more experienced colleagues. Once you are confident and competent you would be provided with a vehicle and test kit and your own client base working for more experienced colleagues. This would be the first step on what should develop into an exciting career as a water treatment sales consultant.
We are keen to hear from graduates (or those who didnāt go to Uni but could have) with an appropriate qualification or background in Science, Environmental Sciences or Engineering who have the attention detail necessary to provide excellent customer service and the hunger to want a long-term career involving sales.
You will need a full driving license.

Equipment Service Engineer ā North of England
We are looking for a new addition to our support services department in the north of England.Ā The role will include carrying out water softener servicing, installation, commissioning, maintenance and support duties in line with company procedures.Ā You will also assist in training engineers in equipment until they are competent and carry out Legionella control duties for Feedwater contract customers throughout the regionĀ in accordance with best practice and legislation. You will deal with customer queries and ensure works are progressed to agreed expectations. You will also need to complete site log books to agreed specifications, and carry out cleaning and chlorination duties for Feedwater customers throughout the UK.
Part of the job will involve carrying out routine field-testing duties for Feedwater contract customers throughout the UK, and communicating any relevant findings to the appropriate consultants/coordinators/managers. You will be expected to complete routine admin promptly and in a timely manner.
The work requires completion of photo reports to a high standard and on time and to carry out pre-work risk assessments, ensuring that high standards are maintained and all paperwork is correct. You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping in good order all equipment provided to you. It is expected you will be presentable and work in a professional manner at all times and attend all courses, seminars and training sessions as deemed necessary.
